My hair, my routine...
Back27/11/2017
So this is not my forte but I have a strong love for hair care in general.
I am asked about my hair everyday and how I maintain it being so blonde. I strongly believe I have kept it healthy with the correct products and the correct type when my hair needed it.
I began highlighting my hair when I was about 20 and a few highlights gradually became a lot more over the years. But because I am a natural blonde I only get a half head which I suppose has saved the condition of my hair also.
Every 10 weeks I pop into Suzanne at The Hair Gallery in Castlebar as she has looked after my hair for years. I get Olaplex in my hair everytime which helps return your hair to its natural state. Now not everyone can wait 10 weeks but I am lucky with my roots being light and dry shampoo ha ha that I can wait a little longer.
I do change between brands now and again but I always always will use a salon shampoo and condtioner. There is no point spending a fortune on a beautiful cut and colour then using a shampoo that will do nothing for your hair. We are better now at looking after our skin but our hair sometimes is forgotten about.
At present I am using Joico K Pak Colour therapy shampoo which gives my hair shine, vibrancy and protects against future damage. Suzanne in The Hair Gallery gifted it to me to try and I am hooked.
Also I am obsessed with K-PAK Luster Lock. An Instant shine and repair treatment for colour treated hair that deeply repairs, gives unreal shine and detangles amazingly.
Great for coloured hair–from blondes to brunettes.
I apply when my hair is clean and damp then rinse and dry. It is perfect for fine or thick hair.
Containing Manketti Oil which is nourishing and Argan Oils which repairs.
Previous to using Joico I used Kerastase for years. Still asking for some every christmas from my family I think it is a brilliant gift as it will for sure be used.
My favourite Kerastase products are Bain Chromatique Riche which is a protecting shampoo for very sensitized colour treated or highlighted hair. This shampoo gives a vibrant shine and hydrates the hair.
I pair this shampoo with the Fondant Chromatique conditioner again for colour treated or highlighted hair. Giving shine with a weightless light touch.
I have used different products in the Kerastase range but I always asked the expert their opinion and knowledge. That is why in salon products are very hard to beat.
So I can keep talking about hair care products as I have tried so many over the years but these are the ones I am using at present and repeat buys in the past. Check out your local salons they may also be able to recommend something for you but do treat yourself or put it on your christmas list.
I think the condition of our hair is very important for it to look and feel the way we want and it is instantly a confidence booster.

Hayley xx
